Design

This heavy-duty truck is crafted from high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy for lightweight performance that doesn’t sacrifice strength or durability. A fully boxed, high-strength steel frame is combined with up to ten crossmembers for optimal rigidity. The front axle on 4×4 models is solid enough to support the weight of an aftermarket front-end upfit, such as a heavy-duty snowplow.

Performance

The 2019 Ford Super Duty packs a standard 6.2L Flex-Fuel Gas V8 engine that pumps out 430 lb.-ft. of torque and combines with a Ford TorqShift® 6-speed automatic transmission for smooth shifting and optimal performance when towing and driving at high speeds.

If you prefer more power for the job, select the available 450-horsepower 6.7L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V8 engine. This option delivers an amazing 935 lb.-ft. of torque and pairs with a Ford TorqShift® G 6-speed automatic transmission.

Driver Assistance

The Ford Super Duty is equipped with a host of available driver-assistance features. Stay aware of vehicles next to you on the highway with the available Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) with Cross-Traffic Alert. You can also maintain a safe distance to the vehicle ahead of you at a preset speed with the available Adaptive Cruise Control with Collision Warning feature.

As you’re towing a large item, you can rely on the AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) and Trailer Sway Control to keep your haul safe on the journey. This system uses gyroscopic sensors to keep an eye on the vehicle’s steadiness and will reduce the engine output and selectively apply the brakes when needed to promote stability.
